Responsibilities
- Design and implement data pipelines, data models, and analytics solutions used across DataMesh
- Partner with cross-functional teams to define data requirements and build the data models that support them
- Build and maintain ETL processes that keep data quality and integrity high while minimizing latency and processing time
- Work with application and analytics teams to turn problem statements and metrics into efficient technical solutions
- Create dashboards that give stakeholders clear visibility into data and performance metrics across the organization
- Collaborate with data engineers on data catalogs, access controls, and governance processes, and mentor peers along the way
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, statistics, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or a related role, including experience with large-scale data processing frameworks and tools (e.g., Hadoop, Spark, SQL)
- Strong programming skills in Python, R, or Java, with proficiency in SQL
- Expertise in data modeling, database design, and data warehousing concepts, including experience with relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL)
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with strong attention to detail and the ability to explain technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Good understanding of data governance, data quality, and data security principles
- Nice to have: Master's degree in a related field
- Nice to have: Familiarity with data privacy regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA)
