This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Staff Software Engineer based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, deploy, and maintain high-quality full-stack applications and AI-powered product features
- Own significant technical initiatives end-to-end, from architecture through release and production support
- Build and maintain APIs using modern backend technologies
- Collaborate with Product Managers and UX Designers to define requirements
- Explore and integrate AI technologies and large language models
- Participate in code reviews, share technical knowledge, mentor teammates
- Partner with infrastructure and support teams to troubleshoot production issues
- Help guide technical decisions and continuously improve system performance
Requirements
- At least 5 years of professional software development experience
- Strong experience designing and building APIs with modern backend technologies
- Solid understanding of full-stack web development and system design
- Genuine interest in AI-powered software and large language models
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work autonomously and take ownership of projects
- Experience with Python, MySQL, React, or other modern JavaScript frameworks is valued
- Familiarity with AI and LLM platforms such as OpenAI or Anthropic, AWS, and DevOps or observability practices is an advantage
- Knowledge of the US healthcare industry or health technology is beneficial but not required
Conditions
- Competitive compensation: $170,000–$200,000 USD per year for eligible US-based candidates
