Responsibilities

• Design, develop and operate production-ready Python web applications for business teams
• Build agentic workflows connecting AI agents to approved tools, APIs, datasets and business systems
• Translate business needs into working solutions from prototype to production
• Deliver end-to-end applications using AI-assisted coding tools
• Build secure, reusable backend services with authentication, authorisation and input validation
• Engineer reliable agentic workflows with evaluation, monitoring, audit trails and safeguards
• Design, build and enhance Python-based batch and streaming pipelines and trusted datasets
• Own backend and data-platform services using AWS (S3, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, Athena, Glue, Redshift)
• Build and maintain orchestration, CI/CD workflows, automated testing and monitoring
• Apply error handling, idempotent processing, retry and recovery mechanisms

Requirements

• Strong data engineering foundations with hands-on application development
• Experience with Python-based web applications and agentic workflows
• Experience with AWS services including S3, Lambda, Aurora PostgreSQL, Athena, Glue and Redshift
• Experience with CI/CD, automated testing and monitoring
• Technical leadership through design reviews, code reviews and mentoring
