About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Workday Configuration Analyst based in the United States.

Responsibilities
  • Design, configure, maintain, and optimize Workday business processes, condition rules, calculated fields, security, notifications, and other tenant configurations.
  • Serve as a Workday subject matter expert and advise HR business partners and stakeholders on functionality, configuration approaches, and process design.
  • Lead configuration, testing, validation, and deployment activities for Workday enhancements, releases, and module implementations.
  • Support Workday Payroll for Canada, alongside other relevant functional areas such as Absence and Time Tracking.
  • Investigate and resolve complex technical and configuration issues escalated from the support team.
  • Develop and maintain standard and ad hoc HR reports and dashboards to support operational and business requirements.
  • Perform data audits and validation activities to maintain HR data accuracy, integrity, and compliance.
  • Gather business requirements and translate them into effective Workday configurations and process improvements.
  • Partner with HR, IT, external vendors, and consultants to resolve technical challenges and deliver system initiatives.
  • Document system processes, workflows, configurations, and user procedures to support consistent system administration and knowledge sharing.
  • Manage multiple concurrent enhancements, projects, and production-support activities while meeting deadlines and maintaining a high level of quality.
Requirements
  • Professional experience working full-time in a Workday analyst or configuration role within a large organization using Workday.
  • Hands-on Workday configuration experience in one or more functional areas, particularly Absence, Time Tracking, and Payroll.
  • Experience configuring and maintaining Workday business processes, condition rules, notifications, reports, calculated fields, and security.
  • Experience supporting Workday Payroll for Canada is strongly desired.
  • Proven ability to gather business requirements and translate complex business needs into scalable system solutions.
  • Experience supporting large-scale Workday environments with multiple stakeholder groups.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, combined with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, enhancements, and production-support responsibilities simultaneously in a dynamic environment.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to non-technical audiences.
  • Proficiency with Excel and HR reporting tools for data analysis and validation.
  • Collaborative, customer-focused approach when working with HR teams, IT professionals, vendors, and consultants.
  • Experience supporting a large, distributed, or multi-state organization is preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree strongly preferred, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Direct Workday configuration experience is essential; candidates whose background is primarily limited to end-user support, ticket management, reporting, or HR administration may not have the technical depth required for this position.
  • Availability to work East Coast hours, approximately 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.
Conditions
  • Competitive compensation, with an estimated range of $5,608.34–$8,975.00 per month, depending on qualifications, experience, and location.
  • Eligibility for a bonus or incentive plan.
  • Fully remote work opportunity within the United States.
  • Health insurance options supporting comprehensive medical coverage.
  • Dental and vision benefits.
  • Paid time off.
  • Life insurance.
  • 401(k) plan with company match.
  • Mental health coverage and well-being resources.
