Responsibilities
- Lead the team making high-speed connections and power delivery reliable across Graphcore's AI compute hardware
- Help specialists shape requirements, design margins and acceptance criteria across silicon, package, PCB and system boundaries
- Line-manage engineers, shape their development, agree achievable delivery commitments, and plan for tools, licences and compute capacity
- Coordinate analysis and hardware correlation, ensuring discrepancies receive specialist attention and integrity issues reach review and closure
- Connect the team's work with design, firmware, test, bring-up and manufacturing colleagues
- Raise capacity conflicts early and make delivery confidence visible in partnership with programme management
Requirements
- People leadership that develops engineers, sets expectations and addresses difficult performance issues, with readiness for formal line management
- Strong engineering foundations and experience in signal or power integrity
- Experience coordinating specialist engineering delivery, including estimates, work allocation, dependencies and capacity
- Clear cross-disciplinary communication that explains risks and trade-offs
- First-principles reasoning and understanding of simulation, measurement and correlation
- Evidence of improving engineering methods or shared knowledge
