• Zscaler (NASDAQ: ZS) operates the Zero Trust Exchange, the world's largest in-line cloud security platform.
• The role is in the Exposure Management & Security Operations department.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop high-quality, scalable, secure software systems including microservices and REST/gRPC APIs.
• Lead design and implementation of distributed systems using messaging, search stores, and cloud storage.
• Collaborate with front-end engineers to deliver APIs for high-performance interfaces.
• Mentor junior engineers and foster team growth.
• Monitor system health, troubleshoot, and optimize services with a DevOps mindset.

Requirements

• Foundational understanding of AI/ML technologies.
• 8+ years of hands-on software application development with distributed systems and cloud storage.
• Proficiency with Java, Spring frameworks (Spring Boot, Spring Cloud, Spring Security), Docker or Kubernetes.
• Deep understanding of AWS or GCP and observability tools (DataDog, Grafana, Prometheus).
• Expertise across the full SDLC including Git, design, deployment, and system optimization.

Preferred

• Experience integrating AI/ML model inference, AI security controls, or automated threat intelligence.
• Expertise in SLAs, high availability, disaster recovery, cost optimization.
• Background in TDD, Agile, CI/CD, and relational or NoSQL databases.
