Responsibilities
- Build infrastructure for an AI-native design practice: token system, component library, documentation, guidelines for AI agents and tools
- Shape how Mixpanel looks and behaves in an AI-native world, collaborating with product design
- Own the bridge between design and code, keeping them in sync and shipping PRs
- Stand up prototyping and AI tooling infrastructure for designers and PMs
- Set and model the craft bar across design and engineering
Requirements
- Proficiency in React, TypeScript, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, Next.js
- Experience with design systems, ideally built or overhauled at scale
- Strong design sensibility and craft
- Fluency in AI-assisted workflows (canvas-to-code, AI prototyping, MCP integrations)
- Experience with Figma, Storybook, VSCode, Chromatic, GitHub
- 8+ years in design engineering, UX engineering, or related hybrid role
- Bonus: data visualization, brand/product design, accessibility (WCAG 2.2, ARIA, APCA)
