Responsibilities
- Own detailed investigations of escalated customer accounts to identify and mitigate payments fraud risks (chargebacks, ACH returns, wire disputes, account takeovers)
- Analyze fraud trends and patterns in payment activities, delivering actionable insights to Payments Risk leadership
- Partner with the Payments Risk investigations team to provide feedback on rule performance and risk logic
- Drive process improvements by identifying workflow inefficiencies
- Support the development and documentation of review processes
Requirements
- 1+ years of experience in payments risk, fraud analysis, or risk operations within financial services, fintech, or e-commerce
- Hands-on experience with payments systems (ACH, wire, card networks) and fraud detection methodologies, including chargeback management and dispute resolution
- Proven investigative ability to identify fraud patterns, root causes, and systemic vulnerabilities
- Familiarity with blockchain analytics tools or cryptocurrency fraud trends
- Responsible use of generative AI with human oversight
