About the company
This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Revenue Intelligence Operations Director, Global Sales Excellence based in United States.
This is a high-impact global individual contributor role focused on improving the predictability, discipline, and effectiveness of sales performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the global approach to forecast accuracy, establishing consistent definitions, measurement standards, and reporting practices across regions.
- Diagnose forecast errors by distinguishing process and behavioral issues—such as deal inspection, stage discipline, commit criteria, and pipeline hygiene—from structural or data-quality challenges.
- Lead global sales performance improvement initiatives in partnership with regional Sales Operations and Sales Leadership, using metrics such as win rate, average selling price, sales cycle, pipeline coverage, and quota attainment.
- Identify and validate high-value improvement opportunities, quantify their potential impact, define target populations, and secure leadership alignment on priorities.
- Test interventions with defined populations before scaling, establish evidence-based success measures, and continuously refine approaches based on results.
- Lead the Global Enterprise Motion program end to end, consolidating regional playbooks, identifying gaps, and prioritizing the components with the greatest expected performance impact.
- Scope, sequence, and oversee successive deployment waves while anticipating changes to go-to-market structures, segmentation, and regional operating models.
- Partner with Revenue Acceleration and Enablement to prepare adoption support before rollout and establish clear measures for motion adoption and business impact.
- Identify opportunities within the sales technology and AI landscape that can improve seller effectiveness, efficiency, and forecast discipline.
- Translate performance gaps into prioritized technology and capability recommendations, partnering with Technology, Sales Operations, and other stakeholders to move approved initiatives into delivery.
- Measure realized impact from tooling and process changes, ensuring improvements enhance both seller productivity and the customer experience.
- Establish executive-level reporting on forecast performance, improvement programs, enterprise motion deployment, adoption, and measurable outcomes.
- Operate with autonomy over diagnostic methods, improvement priorities, measurement standards, program design, and deployment sequencing while building business cases for decisions requiring executive sponsorship.
- Mentor mid-to-senior professionals and develop repeatable methods, standards, and operating practices that can be applied independently across the organization.
Requirements
- Proven experience in sales operations, sales excellence, revenue operations, or sales management, with the ability to operate confidently across analytics, commercial strategy, and execution.
- Direct experience with sales forecasting mechanics and improving forecast accuracy, including an understanding of the process, behavioral, and data-related drivers of forecast variance.
- Demonstrated ability to analyze commercial data, identify poor-quality inputs or flawed conclusions, and defend a diagnosis when challenged by senior sales stakeholders.
- Strong command of commercial performance metrics and the operational mechanics behind pipeline management, deal progression, sales cycles, win rates, quota attainment, and forecasting.
- Proven track record of delivering complex, cross-functional programs across multiple functions and regions through influence rather than direct reporting authority.
- Experience standardizing sales motions, operating cadences, processes, or playbooks across geographically distributed teams while accommodating appropriate local differences.
- Strong business judgment and executive presence, with the credibility to work directly with senior sales leaders and determine when issues should be resolved independently or escalated.
- Demonstrated ability to turn ambiguous performance problems into clear diagnoses, quantified business cases, implementation plans, and measurable outcomes.
- Experience partnering with Finance on forecast governance, revenue predictability, variance analysis, or related commercial planning initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-enabled sales productivity solutions, seller workflow automation, and commercial technology adoption is highly desirable.
- Experience in a global B2B software or SaaS environment is preferred, particularly within enterprise, renewals, or channel-influenced sales models.
- Strong program management, analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to translate complex findings into clear actions.
- Experience mentoring professionals and developing frameworks, standards, and methodologies that enable teams to operate consistently with minimal supervision.
