This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, which manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Mobile Developer based in Canada, within an innovative B2B SaaS environment focused on transforming how property insurance and restoration professionals manage claims.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and release new features for iOS and Android applications, collaborating with product, design, and backend teams.
- Integrate AI-powered development tools, including coding assistants and agent-based solutions, into daily workflows for planning, implementation, testing, code review, and debugging.
- Take end-to-end ownership of features after release by monitoring performance, crash rates, usage analytics, and user impact.
- Continuously improve application quality by reducing technical debt, strengthening test coverage, optimizing performance, and enhancing reliability.
- Build, maintain, and optimize mobile CI/CD pipelines to automate builds, testing, and releases.
- Integrate mobile applications with RESTful APIs and collaborate with backend engineers to define API contracts and optimize performance.
- Participate in code reviews, critically evaluate AI-generated code, and uphold engineering standards, maintainability, security, and consistency.
- Investigate and resolve production incidents using monitoring, crash reporting, performance analytics, and debugging tools.
- Identify technical risks early and contribute to a culture of accountability and continuous learning.
Requirements
- At least five years of professional mobile development experience, including shipping production applications for both iOS and Android.
- Strong proficiency in Swift and Kotlin, with working knowledge of Objective-C and Java for legacy codebases.
- Established AI-first development approach with practical experience using AI coding assistants and agentic tools.
- Strong sense of ownership, including monitoring applications after release and iterating based on real-world results.
- Hands-on experience building or automating mobile CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Fastlane, automated testing, and app store release automation.
- Familiarity with mobile observability and monitoring tools, including crash reporting, performance monitoring, and application analytics.
- Solid experience integrating RESTful APIs and collaborating with backend teams.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Excellent troubleshooting and analytical skills.
- Nice to have: backend or web development experience; experience building offline-first mobile applications for field environments.
