• The UI Platform team is a force multiplier for Okta's entire product portfolio

Responsibilities

• Serve as a UI platform and design system expert, creating, documenting, and evangelizing scalable, accessible (WCAG), and localized patterns
• Partner with cross-functional UI Platform leads to align vision with design strategy and co-own the roadmap
• Enable Okta R&D teams through clear alignment and documentation; mentor designers
• Leverage data and AI insights to inform platform-level design decisions and streamline governance
• Harmonize UX and DevEx across engineering and product organizations
• Collaborate with the Design Systems team as a bridge between system and feature teams

Requirements

• Degree in a related field or relevant work experience as a Product Designer
• Proficient in Figma, Miro, Balsamiq and/or similar design tools
• Knowledge of HTML / CSS / JavaScript
• 10+ years of experience as Product Designer
• Proficiency in AI workflows applied to product design
• Systems-thinking mindset, strong craft, communication skills
• Portfolio showing complex projects across conceptual design, interaction design, information architecture, visual design
• Preference for large-scale enterprise and SaaS products

Conditions

• Must go into local office 2 days a week
• In-person orientation the first week at San Francisco or Chicago office
• Annual base salary range for California, Colorado, Illinois, New York, Washington candidates
