About the role

• Build features for North, Cohere's AI workspace platform.
• Remote-friendly with offices; based in Toronto.

Responsibilities

• Build and ship features for North, the AI workspace platform.
• Develop autonomous agents that talk to sensitive enterprise data.
• Write and ship minimal code that runs in low-resource environments with stringent deployment mechanisms.
• Re-invent the wheel where security and privacy require it, avoiding popular libraries/tooling.
• Collaborate with researchers to productionize state-of-the-art models and techniques.

Requirements

• Shipped lots of fullstack code (Python and React) in production.
• Excel in fast-paced environments with moving priorities.
• Worked in both large enterprises and startups.
• Strong coding abilities across the stack.
• Able to read, understand, and fix issues outside the main code base.
• Built and deployed performant client-side or server-side RAG/agentic applications to millions of users.
• Bonus: love art, eye for design, creative mindset; portfolio/GitHub showcases.
