This is a strategic marketing leadership opportunity within a fast-growing B2B technology environment focused on transforming payment performance.
Responsibilities
- Own the overall marketing and go-to-market strategy, connecting business and product priorities to measurable outcomes across pipeline, adoption, and revenue.
- Lead product marketing across current and future offerings, developing positioning, messaging, value propositions, market research, competitive intelligence, and go-to-market plans.
- Build and evolve the Payment Performance Management category narrative through market education, thought leadership, customer insights, and differentiated messaging.
- Own product launches and go-to-market programs from strategy through execution, partnering closely with Product, Sales, and other commercial teams.
- Develop competitive positioning and market intelligence that informs product strategy, messaging, and commercial execution.
- Lead demand generation strategy across digital, content, email, SDR, field marketing, and owned channels, with a strong focus on qualified pipeline creation.
- Partner with Sales to create enablement materials, talk tracks, battle cards, customer stories, and outbound assets that improve sales effectiveness.
- Lead content and executive thought leadership initiatives, transforming product expertise, customer insights, payments data, and market trends into compelling market-facing content.
- Develop co-marketing programs with strategic partners, platforms, issuers, and channel relationships, ensuring aligned messaging and coordinated execution.
- Lead field marketing activities including conferences, webinars, roundtables, customer events, and executive engagement programs.
- Establish marketing KPIs, attribution models, reporting practices, and operating rhythms tied to engagement, funnel conversion, pipeline contribution, and revenue impact.
- Build scalable marketing systems, processes, automation workflows, and AI-enabled approaches that improve team efficiency and execution speed.
- Lead, coach, and develop a team of marketing specialists while setting clear priorities and maintaining high standards for strategic thinking, creativity, accountability, and delivery.
- Act as the strategic marketing voice across Product, Sales, Partnerships, Customer Success, Revenue Operations, and executive leadership, helping shape the broader go-to-market roadmap.
Requirements
- 5–7+ years of product marketing experience, ideally within payments, fintech, payment infrastructure, or another complex B2B technology environment.
- Strong understanding of the payments ecosystem, including merchant and issuer needs, payment approval challenges, and the technology connecting participants across the ecosystem.
- Proven ability to translate complex technical products into clear positioning, differentiated messaging, compelling value propositions, and effective go-to-market programs.
- Experience owning product marketing activities spanning launches, customer and market research, competitive intelligence, positioning, messaging, sales enablement, and product adoption.
- Demonstrated experience building or shaping an emerging market category, including developing the narratives and educational programs required to create market understanding and demand.
- Experience managing and developing marketing professionals, with the ability to set strategic direction while remaining close enough to execution to move initiatives forward.
- Strong track record of developing integrated B2B demand generation programs and connecting marketing activity to qualified pipeline and revenue outcomes.
- Strong analytical and commercial mindset, with experience establishing KPIs, funnel reporting, attribution, and performance measurement.
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively with Product, Sales, Partnerships, Revenue Operations, Customer Success, and executive stakeholders.
- Familiarity with AI-powered productivity tools and an openness to incorporating emerging technologies into marketing workflows.
- Excellent communication and storytelling skills, with the ability to simplify complex concepts for different audiences.
- Calm, confident, adaptable, and comfortable operating in a fast-moving, high-accountability environment.
- Strong leadership, prioritization, and decision-making skills, combined with a hands-on approach to execution.
Conditions
- Salary range of $120,000–$150,000 CAD annually, with the final offer based on experience, skills, location, and overall fit.
