Responsibilities
- Partner with the Business Operations and Strategy lead for Public Sector leadership to develop and refine go-to-market strategy across government and public sector segments (Federal, SLED, and adjacent verticals)
- Assess market trends (e.g., procurement policy, budget cycles, competitive dynamics) to identify market opportunities, prioritize focus areas, and drive initiatives to help the business deliver on growth ambitions
- Build and maintain analytical models that assess and diagnose performance across teams, territories, segments, and products
- Identify, evaluate, and implement AI-enabled workflows and automation opportunities to increase the team’s analytical throughput and scale GTM activations
- Share insights and recommendations in team business reviews, executive briefings, and planning cycles with data-driven insights and well-structured materials
- Champion, role model, and embed Samsara’s cultural principles (Focus on Customer Success, Build for the Long Term, Adopt a Growth Mindset, Be Inclusive, Win as a Team) as we scale globally and across new markets
Requirements
- 3–5+ years of experience in analytical roles (e.g., Consulting, Business Operations, Sales Operations, Strategy, or GTM Analytics)
- Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills, with the ability to independently structure a problem, structure analyses, and communicate findings clearly to non-technical stakeholders
- Demonstrated fluency with data tools — including Excel/Google Sheets, SQL/Databricks, and/or a BI or visualization platform (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Mode)
- Working familiarity with AI tools (e.g., Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot) and an interest in building or evaluating AI-assisted workflows
- Kind and collaborative orientation who is energized by working with a lot of different types of people from many teams (sense of humor is a big plus)
- Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail and sense of ownership
- Highly communicative and able to move fast in a remote working environment
- Comfortable with ambiguity and energized by the challenge of operating in a high-growth company and sector
- Fully fluent in English
