System Architect

About the company

• Position listed on behalf of a partner company managing all applications.
• Partner is looking for an E/E System Architect – Vehicle Architecture based in Switzerland.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle-level E/E architectures based on functional, technical, and regulatory requirements.
• Translate vehicle requirements into system-, subsystem-, ECU-, and component-level specifications.
• Define and maintain system architectures, interfaces, signal flows, and communication concepts.
• Design and assess vehicle communication networks: CAN, CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, diagnostics.
• Coordinate integration of ECUs, sensors, actuators, and software components.
• Collaborate with engineering teams, suppliers, and technology partners.
• Participate in architecture reviews, system integration, testing, troubleshooting.
• Conduct change impact assessments.
• Maintain requirements traceability.

Requirements

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, Automotive Engineering, Computer Science, or related.
• Several years of experience in E/E systems development in automotive or off-highway industry.
• Strong understanding of vehicle E/E architectures, systems engineering, requirements engineering.
• Familiarity with CAN/CAN-FD, LIN, Automotive Ethernet, UDS diagnostics.
• Experience with PREEvision, DOORS, Enterprise Architect, MATLAB/Simulink, or MBSE/SysML tools.
• Knowledge of ISO 26262 and Automotive SPICE; ISO/SAE 21434 is an advantage.
• Understanding of ECU hardware, embedded software, wiring harnesses.
• Excellent English; German is an advantage.

• Starting salary €4,300 gross per month based on 38.5-hour week.
