Responsibilities

• Lead architecture, design, and hands-on implementation of enterprise software using Java
• Design and maintain scalable, secure applications with Spring Boot, microservices, REST APIs, distributed systems
• Establish technical direction and architectural standards
• Collaborate with product managers, stakeholders, and engineering teams
• Guide teams through the SDLC from design to production support
• Conduct code reviews and promote coding standards
• Mentor and support engineers
• Contribute to enterprise modernization toward cloud-native and service-oriented architectures
• Implement cloud solutions, event-driven architectures, messaging integrations, automated delivery pipelines

Requirements

• Extensive hands-on Java software engineering experience with enterprise-scale applications
• Strong expertise in Spring Boot and microservices architecture
• Experience designing scalable, secure APIs and backend services
• Understanding of system architecture, distributed systems, service integration
• Experience providing technical leadership and mentoring
• Knowledge of code reviews, testing, coding standards, production-ready practices
• Preferred: AWS (ECS, EKS, Lambda), Kafka, event-driven architectures, CI/CD, DevOps, legacy modernization
• Eligibility to work in the United States

Conditions

• Indicative contract rate: $110–$140 per hour
