Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction of customer engagements from early scoping and discovery through delivery.
- Design high-level architectures and implementation plans for GitLab infrastructure and functionality.
- Coordinate and guide implementation work across GitLab Professional Services and partner consultants.
- Support customers deploying GitLab in cloud and on-premises environments using Terraform, Ansible, and the GitLab Environment Toolkit.
- Perform migrations to GitLab using Congregate.
- Provide DevOps and DevSecOps consulting and best practices.
- Contribute reusable collateral such as documentation, delivery kits, and training materials.
- Lead the full technical delivery lifecycle for GitLab Professional Services engagements.
- Evaluate and communicate scalability and security considerations in proposed GitLab reference architectures.
- Mentor Professional Services and partner consultants.
- Maintain and improve delivery automation assets.
- Support scoping and Statement of Work (SOW) creation.
- Maintain a 55% billable utilization.
Requirements
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- UK remote based role.
- Up to 50% travel at times.
- Demonstrated experience delivering two or more of the following consulting services: source code management migration, cloud architecture, DevOps engineering, or CI/CD consulting services.
- Enterprise software development experience.
- Progressive DevOps platform experience.
- Experience with Terraform, Ansible, GitLab Environment Toolkit, Congregate.
- Experience with cloud and on-premises environments.
