This role offers the opportunity to shape and scale a strategic external technology partner ecosystem within a global B2B financial technology platform.
Responsibilities
- Align partnership initiatives with broader product and platform strategy, ensuring integrations strengthen platform stickiness and avoid fragmented or duplicative experiences.
- Build and manage strategic relationships with external technology partners, influencing partner roadmaps, technical priorities, policies, and integration capabilities.
- Identify and prioritize partnerships that can increase revenue, expand distribution, improve customer retention, and strengthen platform economics.
- Define and track partnership performance through metrics such as partner adoption, attached revenue, co-selling impact, ecosystem usage, and customer retention.
- Establish strong data governance, zero-trust security practices, granular access controls, data-sharing protocols, and audit mechanisms across third-party integrations.
- Lead product discovery and solution design for strategic partnerships, collaborating with customers, partners, designers, engineers, and product teams from early concepts through implementation.
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders across Legal, Information Security, Compliance, Commercial, and Finance to create scalable partnership and risk-management processes.
- Develop repeatable partner onboarding frameworks, including developer portals, sandbox environments, API and SDK documentation, and partner-platform onboarding experiences.
- Serve as the primary technical and strategic interface for external partner product and engineering leaders while collaborating with broader partnership teams.
- Monitor developments across financial services, wealth technology, and fintech to identify emerging technologies, strategic providers, and co-innovation opportunities.
- Advise product teams on build-versus-buy-versus-partner decisions, integration feasibility, and ecosystem dependencies for important platform capabilities.
- Help establish reliability and operational standards for integrations, including API performance, connector usage, uptime, and onboarding efficiency.
Requirements
- 5+ years of Product Management experience within B2B SaaS, financial technology, wealth management, banking software, or complex enterprise API platforms.
- Strong understanding of modern web architectures, RESTful APIs, webhooks, data schemas, OAuth, SOC 2, and developer ecosystem tooling.
- Familiarity with financial data privacy, data sovereignty, secure entitlement frameworks, and related security and governance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to lead complex cross-functional initiatives involving Legal, Security, Finance, Product, Engineering, and go-to-market stakeholders.
- Experience negotiating and structuring mutually beneficial commercial and technical arrangements with external partners.
- Deep understanding of financial services ecosystems, including areas such as core banking, ledger systems, custodians, market data providers, and KYC/AML platforms.
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, with the ability to evaluate build, buy, and partner alternatives against executive-level product and commercial objectives.
- Excellent relationship management and communication skills, with the ability to influence senior internal and external stakeholders.
- Strong product discovery, solution design, prioritization, and execution capabilities.
- Ability to operate effectively in complex, ambiguous environments while balancing customer experience, commercial value, technical feasibility, and risk.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without current or future visa sponsorship.
Conditions
- Base salary range of $178,000–$223,000 USD for applicable locations, with final compensation based on skills, experience, qualifications, location, and market conditions.
