Key Responsibilities
- Design and build advanced applications for the Android platform using Kotlin and/or Java.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.
- Work with outside data sources and APIs (RESTful, GraphQL, etc.).
- Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
- Identify and correct bottlenecks and fix bugs.
- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.
- Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices.
- Participate in code reviews and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
- Stay up-to-date with new mobile technology trends, tools, and frameworks.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- 2–5 years of professional Android development experience.
- Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong understanding of Android SDK, different versions of Android, and how to deal with different screen sizes.
- Experience with MVVM/MVP architecture, Jetpack components, LiveData, ViewModel, etc.
- Knowledge of Firebase, Room Database, and Retrofit/OkHttp.
- Familiarity with Git/Bitbucket, CI/CD tools, and agile development processes.
- Experience publishing apps on the Google Play Store.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.
Additional Qualifications
- Experience with Jetpack Compose.
- Familiarity with unit testing, instrumentation testing, and UI testing frameworks.
- Understanding of security best practices in mobile development.
- Experience working with third-party libraries and APIs.
