Responsibilities
- Monitor and investigate transaction patterns, account activity, and user behavior patterns to detect and mitigate fraudulent activity in real-time.
- Assist in the development and optimization of fraud detection systems and tools, suggesting improvements and enhancements as needed.
- Develop and optimize policies and procedures for fraud incident response, root cause analysis, funds recovery and communication protocols.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest fraud trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously enhance fraud detection and prevention methods.
- Monitor and investigate transaction patterns, account activity, and user behavior patterns to accurately detect and mitigate fraudulent activity in real-time, meeting daily productivity (KPIs) and quality (QA) targets.
Requirements
- Fluent in spoken and written English
- 1-2+ years of experience in fraud or AML at a financial institution or fintech company
- Knowledge of multiple forms of fraud, AML, financial crimes and scams
- Willingness to make difficult decisions and quickly learn and iterate from these experiences - you are skilled at using data to drive decisions
- You are able to work both on your own and with others, taking ownership where your knowledge is needed. At the same time you are a strong collaborator who is comfortable with connecting with colleagues across different teams and cultures, sharing ideas to improve efficient teamwork.
Conditions
- The annual base salary range for this role is $36-$47/hr. Compensation is based on factors including qualifications, experience, and location. Total compensation package includes equity (RSUs), 401(k), health, dental, vision, and more.
- This role is based in our Chicago office. We're an office-first company and expect employees to work in-office at least 3 days a week on average.
