Our New Ventures team is focused on growing our global footprint by launching our core products in new markets and expanding across multiple brands and verticals. We're a globally distributed team operating across 7+ brands in 15+ countries.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable and reliable back-end services, focusing on distributed architecture and microservices
- Lead the migration of critical services from a monolithic architecture to a microservices framework
- Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior engineers
- Analyze system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions
Requirements
- Experience in software engineering with strong focus on back-end development and system architecture
- Proficiency in back-end technologies and programming languages (e.g., Go, Java)
- Deep understanding of distributed systems and microservices architecture
- Hands-on experience migrating applications from monolithic architectures to microservices
- Familiarity with cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and container orchestration tools (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
- Solid experience in Agile development practices
- Strong mentorship abilities
- Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Hands-on experience working with AI coding agents (e.g., Claude Code, Cursor, Copilot)
