As an Implementation Specialist / Business Analyst, you’ll help organizations transform complex business requirements into effective, practical software solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Analyze and document customer business requirements, processes, data needs, use cases, and pain points within defined project scopes.
  • Facilitate discovery sessions with customers to understand their workflows and translate business needs into clear functional requirements.
  • Map client processes and develop functional specifications aligned with established software capabilities and implementation methodologies.
  • Conduct gap analyses to identify differences between customer requirements and standard system functionality, helping determine appropriate configuration or process solutions.
  • Configure software workflows, business rules, settings, and other system components to support and streamline customer processes; this position focuses on configuration and business enablement rather than software development.
  • Collaborate with data conversion specialists to support the successful migration and validation of customers’ legacy data.
  • Configure, test, validate, and demonstrate solutions, incorporating client feedback throughout the implementation lifecycle.
  • Deliver remote and classroom-based training sessions to help end users understand and effectively use the implemented solution.
  • Develop deep product expertise and use that knowledge to advise customers, solve implementation challenges, and identify potential enhancement opportunities.
  • Provide a high standard of customer service throughout implementation projects, maintaining clear communication and managing expectations.
  • Collaborate with project managers, data conversion specialists, quality assurance professionals, technical support analysts, and other implementation specialists to deliver successful projects.
  • Manage assigned project priorities, maintain accurate internal tracking systems, and provide timely status updates to project leadership.
  • Gather and validate client data, respond to feedback, and ensure configured solutions meet agreed business requirements before delivery.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in software configuration, business process analysis, end-user training, or a closely related field is preferred.
  • Experience identifying, analyzing, defining, and documenting business processes, data, systems, workflows, or related operational requirements.
  • Strong business analysis, analytical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to translate complex requirements into practical technology solutions.
  • Knowledge or experience with local government business processes, particularly licensing, permitting, land management, or related municipal operations.
  • Post-secondary education in technology or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and professional experience.
  • Strong understanding of software implementation principles, including requirements gathering, process mapping, configuration, testing, validation, and user adoption.
  • Familiarity with database-driven applications, including both installed and web-based environments.
  • Experience with MS SQL Reporting Services or an equivalent reporting technology is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the professionalism and confidence required to work directly with customers.
  • Highly organized, focused, and accountable, with the ability to manage competing priorities in a changing and fast-paced environment.
  • Comfortable working independently in a remote setting while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong customer-service orientation and the ability to build productive relationships with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 15% within Canada and the United States.
Conditions
  • Competitive annual salary of $65,000–$75,000 CAD.
  • Fully remote position within Canada.
  • RRSP matching program to support long-term financial planning.
  • Employee stock purchase plan.
  • Health and insurance coverage from Day 1, including medical, dental, and vision.
  • Life insurance and accidental death & dismemberment (AD&D) coverage.
  • Short-term and long-term disability coverage.
  • 3 weeks of vacation.
  • 5 personal days.
  • Opportunity to work on technology that helps local governments improve efficiency and service delivery.
