About the company

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Archer Engineer based in United States.

Responsibilities
  • Serve as the primary subject matter expert for RSA Archer, overseeing installation, configuration, administration, development, maintenance, and ongoing optimization of the platform.
  • Design and develop custom Archer solutions that address evolving business requirements, workflow needs, and process improvements.
  • Lead the implementation and administration of eGRC capabilities at an agency or bureau level, supporting enterprise risk management objectives.
  • Partner with security and infrastructure teams to maintain system availability, performance, reliability, and security.
  • Troubleshoot data-feed integrations, stakeholder notifications, reporting issues, and other technical challenges across the Archer environment.
  • Integrate Archer with other applications using APIs and support data manipulation, imports, exports, and reporting workflows.
  • Manage Archer user accounts, including individual account creation, bulk uploads, access administration, and technical support.
  • Support users in navigating eGRC and Archer processes, terminology, workflows, data imports, and management reporting.
  • Validate data fields and assist with the preparation and transfer of privacy and security data through Archer-compatible templates.
  • Identify workflow gaps and opportunities to improve agency risk management processes, controls, and operational efficiency.
  • Apply knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, privacy requirements, organizational security principles, and risk mitigation practices to strengthen the overall solution.
  • Provide user training and technical guidance while participating in a rotating on-call schedule.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Engineering, or a related discipline; an additional three years of relevant experience may substitute for the degree.
  • 10+ years of relevant IT experience, including at least five years of hands-on, ground-up RSA Archer development.
  • Demonstrated experience leading full implementations of eGRC tools at an agency or bureau level within the past four years.
  • Strong expertise configuring, developing, administering, and supporting the RSA Archer GRC platform.
  • Excellent understanding of the NIST Risk Management Framework and NIST SP 800-53 security controls.
  • Experience with risk assessment and mitigation processes, cybersecurity and privacy regulations, policies, laws, and ethical requirements.
  • Strong understanding of confidentiality, integrity, availability, authentication, and non-repudiation principles.
  • Hands-on experience working with APIs for application integration and data manipulation.
  • Familiarity with computer networking concepts, protocols, network security methodologies, web filtering technologies, and basic system, network, and operating-system hardening.
  • Demonstrated ability to identify process and workflow improvements and translate stakeholder needs into practical technical solutions.
  • Strong project management, organizational, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and consistently deliver results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with technical teams, stakeholders, and users.
  • Ability to provide training, technical support, and guidance to Archer users while serving as a trusted technical authority.

  • Expected salary range of $150,000–$175,000, with placement determined by experience, skills, education, geographic location, and other relevant factors.
