This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a TPM: Operational Targeting Products based in the United States.
Responsibilities
- Own the end-to-end delivery plan for operational targeting capabilities, aligning engineering work with customer commitments and business priorities.
- Lead Agile sprint and release planning, backlog prioritization, grooming, and tradeoff decisions across scope, schedule, quality, and available capacity.
- Translate operator, customer, and field feedback into clearly defined engineering requirements and actionable delivery plans.
- Track dependencies across engineering, client, cloud, QA, and other technical functions, proactively identifying and escalating delivery risks.
- Maintain program readiness, risk, delivery status, KPIs, and post-release outcomes, providing clear updates to leadership.
- Establish definitions of done and drive release quality, regression discipline, operational readiness, and continuous improvement.
- Support customer discovery, demonstrations, proposals, capture activities, and executive briefings related to targeting capabilities.
- Partner with engineering leaders on architecture, sensor and data integrations, technical debt, technical design reviews, and implementation tradeoffs.
- Identify opportunities to reuse platform capabilities across targeting and other geospatial initiatives.
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Business Development, and Program teams to align execution with broader business objectives.
- Ensure solutions meet applicable security, regulatory, and government contracting requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline.
- 3+ years of experience in technical program management, product management, or a comparable role, combined with significant people-management experience.
- Experience managing and developing teams, with the ability to establish accountability, support performance, and lead through complex delivery environments.
- Proven experience owning software delivery across multiple engineering disciplines, including front-end, back-end, cloud, and QA functions.
- Strong Agile expertise, including backlog management, sprint and release planning, dependency coordination, risk management, and readiness tracking.
- Technical fluency and confidence participating in engineering design discussions and evaluating technical tradeoffs.
- Ability to turn customer, operator, and business needs into well-scoped engineering requirements and executable plans.
- Strong prioritization, judgment, and decision-making skills, particularly when requirements or circumstances are changing.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management abilities across technical teams, customers, business development, program management, and senior leadership.
- Experience with GIS, geospatial technology, ISR/FMV, defense, tactical software, or related mission-critical technologies.
- Familiarity with targeting-cycle doctrine and operational execution.
- Experience working directly with Department of War, SOCOM, coalition, or public safety operators is highly valuable.
- Active security clearance or the ability to obtain one.
- Willingness to travel approximately 30%.
- Preferred experience includes FMV/ISR data, camera-based detection, cUAS planning, TAK, Cesium, ArcGIS, GDAL, GeoJSON, or C2 systems.
- Proficiency in C#, C++, or Python and experience supporting DoD acquisition programs are advantageous.
Conditions
- Salary: $130,000–$160,000 annually, plus bonus and equity.
