Responsibilities

• Architect and lead the design, development, delivery, and supportability of cloud-native security products from concept to production.
• Build cross-group partnerships and work closely with engineering, product management, design, support, and documentation teams.
• Uphold high programming standards through rigorous code reviews and comprehensive unit and functional tests.
• Lead remote teams while ensuring product quality, agility, and velocity.
• Mentor, groom, and educate junior engineers as a player-coach.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience building Java-based web applications.
• Deep understanding of design patterns, scalability patterns, security engineering, and object-oriented principles.
• Experience with continuous integration and deployment practices.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across functions.
• Strong security background and track record of championing best practices.
• Extra credit: experience building anomaly detection or risk systems.
• Extra credit: expertise in cloud security, identity, and/or authentication protocols.
• Extra credit: hands-on experience with Angular, ReactJS, Backbone, or Vue.
• Must be able to submit documentation establishing U.S. Person status upon hire.

Conditions

• Annual base salary range for San Francisco Bay Area: $194,000 – $267,000 USD.
• Equity (where applicable), bonus, and benefits including health, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), flexible spending account, and paid leave.
