About the company

• A well-capitalised infrastructure business with significant data-centre capacity, now launching its own AI compute platform for external customers
• First GPU hardware is already procured

Responsibilities

• Architecture across GPU compute, servers, high-performance networking, storage, orchestration and the platform layer
• Deployment and commissioning of the first GPU environments
• Technical standards, vendor and OEM decisions, and the infrastructure roadmap
• Building the engineering and platform organization from the ground up
• Technology trade-offs and investment decisions, discussed directly with top leadership

Requirements

• CTOs, VPs and Heads of AI / GPU infrastructure who have personally built or operated multi-thousand-GPU environments (5,000+ GPUs)
• Hands-on experience treating servers, GPUs, fabric and storage as one system, taking clusters from delivery to production
• Experience building services on top of infrastructure: GPU-as-a-service, bare metal, managed clusters or an AI cloud platform
• Experience with the NVIDIA and/or AMD ecosystem and working directly with major OEMs is a plus
• Fluent professional English
