Responsibilities
- Develop, maintain, and improve agentic systems built with LangChain and LangGraph
- Design and implement tools enabling AI agents to execute operational tasks for healthcare clinics
- Connect AI agents to WhatsApp-based communication channels
- Implement production-ready LLM capabilities including tool calling, structured outputs, and RAG
- Design robust execution flows with persistent state, async processing, queues, retries, and error handling
- Measure and optimize response quality, latency, and operational costs
- Develop automated tests and maintain sound engineering practices
- Address LLM security risks including prompt injection and sensitive data exposure
- Collaborate with Product to plan deliverables and translate business needs into AI solutions
- Mentor colleagues and serve as a technical reference
Requirements
- Strong experience with production Python applications, particularly FastAPI and Pydantic
- Practical experience with LangChain and LangGraph or another agent framework
- Experience integrating LLMs into real applications including tool calling, structured outputs, and RAG
- Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL or MySQL
- Knowledge of automated testing with Pytest, Clean Architecture, and maintainable application design
- Experience with queues, webhooks, messaging systems, or other async processing
- Strong problem-solving and ownership mindset
- Preferred: LLM evaluation tools such as Langfuse or LangSmith
- Preferred: WhatsApp Cloud API or BSPs
- Preferred: Docker and AWS services such as ECS/Fargate, SQS, or Amazon Bedrock
- Preferred: knowledge of prompt injection prevention and LGPD compliance
- Preferred: mentoring or technical leadership experience
- Preferred: healthcare software familiarity
