Civil Site Engineer

About the company
- Position listed on behalf of a partner company managing applications
- Utility-scale energy infrastructure projects (substations, transmission facilities)
Responsibilities
- Lead civil site design of utility infrastructure projects: access roads, site grading, drainage, erosion control
- Coordinate engineering design activities independently and with project teams
- Conduct site visits and field walkdowns
- Review and manage subcontractor civil site development designs
- Coordinate with local Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs)
- Prepare permit applications including SWPPPs and wind certification documents
- Apply relevant codes, standards and regulatory requirements
- Communicate project updates and technical findings to stakeholders
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline
- At least 8 years of relevant experience in civil site design for electrical transmission and substation facilities
- Professional Engineer (PE) license required
- Proficiency in MicroStation, AutoCAD, Civil 3D or comparable tools
- Knowledge of ASCE 113, ASCE 7, IBC, NESC
- Experience coordinating multidisciplinary design work and preparing permit documentation
- Familiarity with SharePoint, Microsoft Teams
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills
