About the company
Ondo provides institutional-grade, blockchain-enabled investment products; it was the first company to tokenize exposure to US Treasuries. You'll build and scale infrastructure that powers financial products both onchain and off — the APIs, services, and tooling between users and decentralized protocols.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable, secure backend systems and APIs for interacting with both onchain protocols and offchain infrastructure
- Collaborate with smart contract engineers to define interfaces and workflows between backend services and blockchain networks (EVM and non-EVM)
- Own integrations with custodians, identity/KYC providers, payments infrastructure, and third-party blockchain tooling
- Support internal ops, investor services, and compliance teams with automation, auditability, and observability tools
- Establish and enforce backend engineering standards, best practices, and security protocols
- Participate in code reviews and architecture discussions
Requirements
- 6+ years of backend software engineering experience, ideally with Go, Python, C++, and TypeScript
- Strong understanding of distributed systems, system design, and API development
- Experience integrating with cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred), third-party services, and security/compliance-sensitive systems
- Demonstrated interest in Web3 or DeFi (professional experience or side projects)
- Familiarity with EVM-based blockchains and smart contract interactions is a plus, not required
- Located in a US time zone (PT–ET)
