Responsibilities
- Contribute to architecture and long-term technical roadmap for the Phone Numbers Platform
- Use AI coding assistants to automate boilerplate, generate test suites, and perform rapid prototyping
- Drive technical excellence and make critical architectural decisions
- Partner with Product Managers to translate regulations into developer-first APIs
- Mentor and uplift junior and mid level engineers
- Identify and mitigate technical risks
- Articulate technical designs through design documents and RFCs
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience designing and developing highly available, high-scale, secure, mission-critical cloud-native enterprise distributed systems
- Strong proficiency in Java or Python with solid knowledge of AWS ecosystems (Lambda, EKS, DynamoDB, Kafka)
- Hands-on experience with cloud-native infrastructure, microservices patterns
- Practical experience using AI tools (Copilot, Claude, Cursor)
- Experience building and maintaining high-volume public-facing APIs
- Experience with high-throughput data processing and storage (SQL/NoSQL, Redis, Kafka, Spark)
- Familiarity with Kubernetes, Terraform, and modern CI/CD
