Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and execute test plans and test cases for new features and existing functionality.
- Perform functional, regression, integration, and exploratory testing across web and mobile platforms.
- Collaborate with product and engineering to define acceptance criteria and ensure quality standards are met before release.
- Track and report on test coverage, defect trends, and quality metrics.
- Build and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts to improve testing efficiency.
- Identify opportunities to expand automation coverage across the platform.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
- Innovate on the QA process and apply the latest in AI to evolve how the QA function can keep pace with the speed of code delivery.
- Identify, document, and prioritize defects with clear reproduction steps and severity assessments.
- Work closely with developers to troubleshoot issues and verify fixes.
- Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to the team’s understanding of quality risks and trade-offs.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and best practices.
- Advocate for quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Help establish and maintain testing environments and test data management practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 2+ years of experience in software quality assurance or a related testing role.
- Strong understanding of QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect lifecycle management.
- Proven experience with test automation tools and frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar).
- Experience using AI tools to enhance the QA process.
- Skilled in writing clear, detailed test plans, test cases, and bug reports.
- Detail-oriented with a strong analytical mindset and a passion for finding edge cases.
- Excellent communicator who can clearly articulate quality concerns and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive problem-solver who takes ownership of quality outcomes.
- Passionate about sustainability, innovative technology, and creating positive impact.
- Nice to have: Certifications like ISTQB, experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman, REST Assured), familiarity with mobile testing across iOS and Android, exposure to geospatial, environmental, or data-heavy platforms, experience working in Agile/Scrum environments with tools like Jira.
