About the company

• Abnormal AI builds AI-native, data-intensive SaaS applications to stop cybercrime.
• The Data Platform team designs and operates scalable storage, batch and stream processing, and orchestration systems.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the design, development, and operation of core components of the data platform.
• Build tools and services that make it easy for other teams to adopt and scale data systems.
• Automate infrastructure and operations to improve reliability, performance, and scalability.
• Apply GenAI techniques to build smarter developer and operator experiences.
• Collaborate across engineering teams on scalability and reliability challenges.
• Own projects end-to-end with guidance from senior engineers.

Requirements

• 1+ years of professional software engineering experience: backend, distributed systems, or infrastructure preferred.
• Solid programming skills in Python, Go, or a similar language.
• Strong fundamentals: data structures, clean code, testing, debugging.
• Interest in AWS, Databricks, databases, streaming, and orchestration.
• Curiosity, problem-solving skills, and strong communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kafka, Kinesis, or Flink.
• Familiarity with AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Exposure to large-scale or data-intensive systems.

Conditions

• Base salary range: $122,400 – $176,000 USD.
• May be eligible for bonus, equity, and a comprehensive benefits package.
