Responsibilities
- Own the engineering foundation for Jane's customer data infrastructure: assessing what exists, deciding what stays and what goes, and building event pipelines, schemas, and identity resolution layer from the ground up.
- Build and maintain Jane's customer data infrastructure end-to-end: systems, pipelines, and source integrations that carry product and marketing events from collection to warehouse.
- Work directly with marketing, paid media, analytics, marketing operations, BI, and product as primary stakeholders on attribution questions, campaign tracking, conversion data, and integrations connecting marketing tools to the warehouse.
- Drive tooling strategy for Jane's collection layer, including CDP, event pipeline, and ingestion infrastructure (currently running RudderStack).
- Establish instrumentation standards within engineering, product, and marketing, defining how product and web events are structured, named, versioned, and validated.
- Take ownership of identity resolution and attribution at the collection layer, ensuring prospect journeys across multiple channels, domains, and touchpoints stitch together cleanly.
- Navigate consent-gated instrumentation in healthcare, designing tracking infrastructure that works reliably within PHI compliance requirements, consent management, tag management, and third-party marketing tools constraints.
Requirements
- Comfortable leading and owning both strategy and execution: making architectural calls, setting standards, and influencing across engineering, product, BI, marketing, and leadership.
- Experience evaluating or implementing Customer Data Platforms including migrating or consolidating existing tooling (Greenfield-only experience is not sufficient).
- Experience with privacy-compliant tracking and consent management; understanding how consent state affects data collection and designing instrumentation within those constraints (server-side tagging or tag management systems ideal). Healthcare or regulated environment experience is a plus.
- Strong opinions on schema design, event taxonomy, and data quality.
- Experience with identity resolution, attribution, or cross-domain tracking.
- Proficiency in JavaScript or TypeScript and SQL (required). Python is a strong asset.
- Familiarity with Snowflake, Looker, or similar warehouse and BI tooling is helpful.
- Comfort working with AI tools as part of day-to-day workflow.

- Compensation:
- For candidates based in the United States: annual salary range USD 149,600 - $233,800.
- For candidates based in Canada: annual salary range CAD 152,000 – $237,500.
- Equity through JSOP (Jane Stock Option Plan).
