This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst, Marketing Analytics based in Canada.
This is a 13-month contract role focused on turning marketing and customer data into actionable insights that strengthen fundraising performance.
Responsibilities
- Analyze supporter behaviour and develop segmentation, targeting, and communication strategies in partnership with marketing leads.
- Evaluate campaign tactics and performance to identify opportunities to improve supporter communication, upgrades, cross-selling, retention, engagement, and lifetime value.
- Manage analytics and reporting requests from intake through delivery, documenting requirements, metrics, dimensions, mock-ups, methodologies, and outputs.
- Produce accurate daily, weekly, and campaign-level reports, dashboards, and automated reporting using BigQuery, Power BI, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, Google Analytics, social platforms, paid digital channels, and other data sources.
- Monitor media, digital, and offline campaign performance throughout campaign lifecycles, providing updates and recommending adjustments to improve results.
- Support the planning, execution, and evaluation of multi-channel direct marketing campaigns, ensuring critical data-operation milestones are met.
- Extract and prepare data for campaign analysis and communications in accordance with established data protocols, while documenting new processes to improve knowledge transfer and consistency.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders and external media vendors to ensure campaign data is accurate, timely, and aligned with requirements.
- Identify opportunities to improve datasets, develop requirements, support user acceptance testing, and oversee vendor delivery against agreed expectations.
- Maintain awareness of broader organizational programs to identify opportunities for shared insights, collaboration, and learning.
- Provide data and analytical insights to support annual and short-term planning, forecasting, and budgeting.
- Build strong working relationships with technology teams and vendors to improve data integration, reporting capabilities, and operational efficiency.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience in analytics, marketing analytics, or data management within a customer-focused organization.
- Experience analyzing and reporting on mass-media and integrated marketing campaigns spanning digital and traditional channels.
- Demonstrated ability to translate data into actionable insights through clear storytelling, visualization, and recommendations.
- Hands-on experience with data visualization and modeling tools such as Power BI or Tableau.
- Experience working with CRM platforms and cloud analytics environments such as BigQuery, Snowflake, or Redshift.
- Practical experience with Google Analytics/GA4 and digital marketing performance measurement.
- University degree in analytics, data science, statistics, finance, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience.
- Strong analytical capabilities using Excel, SQL, and DAX, with the ability to investigate data, test hypotheses, and identify meaningful patterns.
- Experience incorporating AI tools such as Copilot or Claude into analytics and reporting workflows.
- Understanding of customer experience, customer-file segmentation, targeting, and strategic planning based on ongoing customer communications.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to coordinate complex campaign schedules and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to explain complex analytical concepts in clear, accessible language to non-technical audiences.
- A highly curious, proactive, and self-directed approach, with the ability to turn ambiguity into structured processes and practical action.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, consultation, and stakeholder-management skills.
- A demonstrated ability to connect analytical findings to concrete business and campaign decisions.
Conditions
- 13-month contract with a hybrid working model.
- Candidates can work remotely from anywhere in Canada, with the ability to travel to the Toronto office up to 6 times per year.
- Working hours aligned with Eastern Time (ET).
- Hiring salary range of $67,000–$82,000 CAD, depending on professional background and experience.
