Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end concepting, design, and production for complex marketing landing pages and digital experiences across SoFi.com
- Translate ambiguous briefs into effective, visually compelling design solutions balancing user needs, business objectives, brand, accessibility, compliance, technical feasibility
- Establish clear design direction and influence project strategy from exploration through launch
- Partner with web producers, engineers, copywriters, art directors, product marketers, product designers, researchers
- Apply conceptual thinking, UX principles, responsive design, and interaction design across desktop and mobile
- Shape and evolve SoFi's digital visual language through layouts, patterns, components, design system contributions
- Improve customer experience and business performance through testing, iteration, analytics
- Present design work, rationale, and recommendations to stakeholders including senior leaders
- Provide creative direction and mentorship to other designers
- Own design quality and QA with minimal oversight
Requirements
- 5+ years of relevant experience in visual design, interactive design, UX, or related field with focus on digital and web
- Track record of independently leading complex design projects from strategy through launch
- Strong conceptual thinking and understanding of UX principles, information hierarchy, responsive design, accessibility, mobile-first design
- Strong visual design and craft skills: composition, typography, layout, color, hierarchy, interaction design
- Experience contributing to scalable design systems, reusable patterns, web components
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- Ability to provide creative direction, mentorship, and constructive feedback
- Proficiency in Figma, Adobe Creative Suite, and prototyping tools
- Strong portfolio demonstrating visual and interaction design, systems thinking, measurable impact
- Nice to have: HTML, CSS, design tokens, content management systems, A/B testing, analytics
