About the company

- Help shape the next generation of artificial intelligence
Responsibilities
- Review Java programming problems and assess model-generated solutions across a range of difficulty levels
- Evaluate code correctness, readability, efficiency, maintainability, and production readiness
- Analyze object-oriented design, concurrency, JVM behavior, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture
- Identify logical errors, flawed abstractions, edge cases, and weaknesses in implementation or reasoning
- Explain why a solution is incorrect, inefficient, incomplete, or otherwise unsuitable, providing clear technical justification
- Document recurring model failure patterns and communicate findings in a structured, actionable manner
- Assess whether programming problems are clearly specified and appropriately challenging for AI training purposes
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in Java and object-oriented programming
- Solid understanding of concurrency, JVM internals, data structures, algorithms, and system architecture
- Ability to evaluate code beyond whether it runs, including design quality, edge-case handling, performance, and maintainability
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify subtle implementation and reasoning errors
- Excellent written communication skills and the ability to explain technical weaknesses clearly and precisely
- Bachelor's, master's, or PhD in computer science, software engineering, or a closely related field is a strong advantage
- Practical Java development experience, competitive programming participation, open-source contributions, or technical writing experience is beneficial
- Ability to work independently in a remote contract environment and provide well-documented evaluations
Conditions
- Hourly pay: $45 per hour for candidates who successfully pass the preliminary Java-focused assessments
