About the role
We are hiring a Senior Director of Product to help shape and lead some of Chime’s most important opportunities for our members and our business. You’ll lead a product organization of approximately 10-15 people, setting the vision and strategy across a broad, high-impact area while developing the leaders and teams responsible for bringing that strategy to life.
Responsibilities
- Set a compelling product vision and strategy for a significant area of Chime, connecting member needs, market opportunities, and company priorities into a clear path forward.
- Lead a product organization of approximately 10-15 people, creating the structure, leadership, and operating environment for teams to do their best work.
- Identify and develop new opportunities to expand Chime’s impact, using deep member understanding, data, experimentation, and market insight to determine where we should place our biggest bets.
- Own a broad portfolio of product initiatives and make thoughtful investment and prioritization decisions across near-term opportunities and longer-term strategic bets.
- Lead through experienced product leaders, developing senior talent, strengthening the leadership bench, and creating clarity and accountability across multiple teams.
- Partner with senior leaders across Engineering, Design, Data, Marketing, Operations, and other functions to turn strategy into measurable member and business outcomes.
- Serve as a senior product voice across Chime, influencing company-level decisions and helping shape how our products and product organization evolve as the business grows.
Requirements
- Led a scaled product organization comparable to a 15–20 person team, including experience leading and developing experienced product leaders.
- Owned a broad product portfolio or business area where you were accountable for strategy, investment, prioritization, and outcomes across multiple teams.
- A track record of building and scaling products that delivered meaningful customer and business impact in a consumer technology environment.
- Experience identifying significant new opportunities and translating customer, behavioral, and market insights into successful product strategies.
- Built strong product teams and leadership benches, creating organizations that can move quickly and operate with significant autonomy while staying aligned around a common strategy.
- Experience making consequential decisions in complex, ambiguous environments using a combination of data, experimentation, customer insight, and judgment.
- Experience operating in consumer technology, financial services, marketplaces, subscription businesses, or another scaled digital product environment where trust, engagement, and customer experience matter deeply.
Conditions
- The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $326,000 and up to $383,000. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.
