About the company

This position is part of the Infrastructure Engineering organization, a full-time, permanent position.
Ideal for someone who wants to work on Linux systems supporting observability platforms.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain logging platforms
Design, build, and maintain metrics and tracing platforms
Design, build, and maintain front end visualization tools
Design, build, and maintain supporting applications used by the logging/metrics platforms
Support and maintain the network capture visibility platforms
Support and maintain network packet brokers
Work with other teams in support of above systems
Research, create documentation, and provide examples for end users

Requirements

Experience with supporting and troubleshooting server hardware
Experience supporting Linux, bash scripting
Knowledge of server hardware
Knowledge of TCP/IP and the OSI Model
Experience with Elasticsearch, Logstash, Kibana, Opensearch, Graylog, MongoDB, Grafana, Grafana Loki, Prometheus, Grafana Mimir, Metrictank, Grafana Tempo, Jaeger, Kafka, RedPanda, Redis, min.io, nProbe, Plixar Scrutinizer, ntopng, Arkime, Elastic Beats, Fluentbit, OpenTelemetry
Experience with k8s and/or containerization platforms
Familiarity with the GitOps method of system and platform management
Usage of automation and automation tools: Bash scripting, Ruby or other high level languages, Puppet, Ansible, Terraform
Knowledge of network monitoring and packet capture with Linux systems: kernel optimizations, CPU optimizations, network cards and kernel bypass drivers
