Senior Project Manager

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Senior Project Manager (German speaking) based in South Africa.

• Plan, coordinate, and manage large-scale digital campaign productions from initial requirements through final delivery.
• Coordinate high-volume asset production across multiple markets, languages, channels, and creative disciplines.
• Organize production workflows across distributed international teams and ensure smooth handoffs between production stages and time zones.
• Lead and coordinate Producer and Media Producer teams, providing structure, priorities, and clear direction throughout projects.
• Collaborate closely with designers, AI artists, motion designers, video producers, and other creative specialists to ensure production requirements are understood and delivered effectively.
• Manage external freelancers and coordinate their contributions, timelines, and deliverables.
• Act as a primary client contact throughout production, maintaining clear communication and ensuring expectations remain aligned.
• Translate client requirements into practical production plans, schedules, milestones, and deliverables.
• Take responsibility for project budgets, monitoring costs, resources, and financial performance throughout the production lifecycle.
• Track project timelines and capacity to ensure campaigns are delivered on schedule and within agreed parameters.
• Identify opportunities to improve production processes, workflows, systems, and operational efficiency.
• Use project management, resource planning, production, and AI-enabled tools to optimize execution and support scalable delivery.
• In a senior capacity, take increased ownership of client relationships, commercial decisions, and budget responsibility for larger and more complex campaigns.

• Proven experience as a Project Manager, Producer, or similar role within an agency, creative production, or digital production environment.
• 7–10 years of relevant experience for a Senior-level position.
• Demonstrated experience managing large-scale campaigns with high volumes of creative assets across multiple markets or channels.
• Experience leading or coordinating creative production teams and managing multiple stakeholders simultaneously.
• Strong experience in direct client management, with the confidence to communicate requirements, resolve issues, manage expectations, and provide project updates.
• Experience managing project budgets, resources, timelines, and deliverables with strong commercial awareness.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills, with the ability to bring structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving productions.
• Fluency in German and English, both written and spoken, is essential.
• Comfortable collaborating across international teams and time zones, particularly within European working hours.
• Strong interest in AI-supported creative production and willingness to continuously learn and adopt new AI tools and technologies.
• Comfortable working with digital production and business systems such as Salesforce, Odoo, Resource Guru, Adobe Suite, and AI-enabled production tools.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A proactive, dependable, collaborative, and solutions-oriented mindset.
• Ability to manage multiple moving parts without losing focus on quality, deadlines, budgets, or client expectations.
