Operating within the Cloud Infrastructure organization, the Cloud Experience team builds and maintains the foundational cloud platform experience that powers operations across Airbnb.
Responsibilities
- Deliver secure, efficient, and highly available frameworks and platform capabilities that simplify infrastructure complexity
- Develop APIs and tools enabling Airbnb engineers to simplify service management and provisioning
- Use and extend open source projects such as Kubernetes and Argo CD, contributing improvements upstream
- Create agent-driven workflows with clear change previews and validation
- Work with service owners and partner teams to identify confusing workflows and improve them
- Debug production issues and improve the reliability and visibility of the systems you own
Requirements
- A degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent work experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
- Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure interfaces such as APIs, CLIs or declarative configuration at large scale
- Deep understanding in some of: Kubernetes, cluster lifecycle, infra automations, public cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and their IaaS offerings
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and solid production debugging skills
Conditions
- This position is US - Remote Eligible; must live in a state where Airbnb, Inc. has a registered entity
- Pay Range: $196,000 – $230,000 USD
- May be eligible for bonus, equity, benefits, and Employee Travel Credits
