Responsibilities
- Lead development of high-quality, scalable features while mentoring junior and mid-level developers
- Ensure adherence to SDLC standards, coding best practices, and architectural guidelines
- Participate in solution design and technical planning to support scalable system architecture
- Own code quality through rigorous testing, integration validation, and comprehensive code reviews
- Serve as a technical escalation point, resolving complex issues and unblocking the team
- Maintain clear, proactive communication on progress, risks, and timelines via stand-ups, Jira, and Slack
- Take full ownership of assigned features, delivering release-ready work on time
- Develop and maintain backend services, APIs, and integrations using Python and AWS
- Contribute to and improve technical documentation, ensuring maintainability and onboarding support
- Drive continuous improvement across processes, system design, and development practices
Requirements
- 3+ years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Python and experience building APIs and backend services.
- Experience with REST API integrations; familiarity with SOAP is a plus.
- Understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
- Exposure to or interest in serverless architecture and frameworks (e.g., Serverless Framework).
- Familiarity with AWS services such as Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and SQS.
- Basic understanding of agile methodologies (Scrum experience is a plus).
- Strong time management and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
- Comfortable receiving feedback and open to continuous growth.
