Responsibilities
- Lead the technical direction and execution of Android experiences supporting retailers and shoppers.
- Design, build, test, and maintain high-quality Android applications using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, and RxJava.
- Partner with Product, Design, Backend Engineering, iOS Engineering, retailers, and external vendors.
- Own projects from technical discovery through delivery.
- Improve application performance, reliability, observability, and developer experience.
- Provide technical leadership by facilitating design discussions, mentoring engineers, and establishing best practices.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial Android development.
- Strong proficiency in Kotlin and modern Android practices (Jetpack Compose, Coroutines, RxJava).
- Experience leading technical execution of complex, cross-functional projects.
- Experience designing maintainable Android architectures and improving performance, reliability, testing, monitoring, or observability.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
