Responsibilities
- Own backend services end to end – from the data model to production behaviour;
- Design data models for new features in our document databases, and evolve existing ones as usage grows;
- Design how services talk to each other, to client apps, and to third-party APIs;
- Debug and resolve production issues;
- Write and maintain unit and integration tests.
Requirements
- Fluency with Python;
- 5+ years of commercial experience designing resilient backend services and APIs, and working with distributed systems;
- Hands-on experience with Docker, and comfort operating services in Kubernetes;
- Ability to take a loosely defined problem, scope it with the right questions, and own the outcome in a fast-moving team;
- Degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or a related technical field;
- Proficiency in spoken and written English at an Upper-intermediate (B2) level or higher.
