Machine Learning Technical Trainer

• Remote freelance role designing and delivering technical courses for engineers.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the curriculum team to define course structure, sections, lessons, practical labs, and notebooks.
• Write detailed lab specifications for the lab development team and test completed environments.
• Develop short, story-driven video lessons (~6 minutes each) making ML concepts accessible.
• Narrate scripted lessons in English and record demonstrations and lab walkthroughs.
• Build course material grounded in real experience training, evaluating, and deploying ML models.
• Incorporate editorial feedback and refine content to meet quality standards.
• Coordinate with curriculum and production teams via weekly syncs and Slack.

Requirements

• Hands-on ML experience training, evaluating, and shipping models with scikit-learn, PyTorch, or TensorFlow.
• Strong technical communication skills for explaining ML concepts to engineers new to the field.
• Excellent written and spoken English, confident on camera.
• Genuine passion for teaching (courses, tutorials, talks, workshops, mentoring).
• Current technical knowledge and commitment to continuous learning.
• Openness to feedback and established teaching methodology.

Preferred

• Experience publishing courses on Udemy, Pluralsight, or Coursera, or educational content on YouTube.
• Experience writing a technical book or teaching at a university or bootcamp.
• Practical knowledge of fine-tuning, MLOps, or deploying ML models in production.
• Cloud ML certifications (AWS, Azure, GCP, Databricks).
