About the role
Toast is driven by building the restaurant platform that helps restaurants adapt, take control, and get back to what they do best: building the businesses they love.
As an Enablement Project Manager, you’ll utilize your strong project management skills and change management experience to drive product proficiency across our customers, partners, and employees. This role is critical to ensuring that when Toast ships new products and platform changes, customers and Toasters actually know how to adopt them, support them, and get value from them.
You'll partner closely with Product, Product Marketing, and downstream enablement teams, including Care, Onboarding, Customer Success Managers, Learning Design, Knowledge, and Training, to plan and coordinate the readiness work behind every launch.
Responsibilities
- Independently own launch readiness planning for a portfolio of moderately complex, multi-team product launches, from initial scoping through close: partner with Product Managers to identify downstream impacts, tier each change based on customer and Toaster impact, and build the enablement plan a launch needs to succeed.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships with Care, Onboarding, Customer Success Managers, Learning Design, Knowledge, and Training, and become a reliable source of knowledge for the product area you support.
- Identify gaps in project scope or launch plans, align stakeholders on any changes, and surface issues before they escalate. Apply root-cause analysis to understand why a launch is at risk, and bring data-backed recommendations to your manager and stakeholders.
- Lead recurring cross-functional project syncs, adapting your communication style for technical and non-technical audiences, and proactively share data on launch health.
- Define success metrics for each launch and track impact and monitor for confusion or support gaps after go-live, using what you learn to close gaps and improve how future launches are planned.
- Deliver launches on time with minimal oversight, and produce a project evaluation or retrospective the team can use to improve future launches.
- Look for opportunities to use AI and other tools to work more efficiently and raise the quality of your output, bringing new ideas and approaches to the team.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in Project Management, Product Enablement Operations, or Product Management in a fast-paced, high-growth, and high-output environment.
- Comfortable using AI-assisted tools to work more efficiently, with curiosity about how new technology can improve project execution and outcomes.
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple large, cross-functional projects, deliverables, and competing priorities in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment with a track record of success.
- Proven ability to effectively manage senior level stakeholders, and hold partners to requirements and timelines in a fast change velocity environment.
- Ability to analyze requests and recommend the right solutions for complicated business needs. Excel at gaining buy-in across multiple departments. Keen ability to showcase the impact of your work upon completion.
- Experience and proficiency with various project management tools (e.g., Asana, Google Suite, Jira).
- Formal project management training or certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) is a plus.
Conditions
- Competitive compensation and benefits programs.
- Base salary range: $76,000 - $157,000 USD depending on zone.
- Hybrid work model fostering in-person collaboration while valuing individual needs.
