About the company

• Plata is redefining how people apply for and access financial products in Mexico. Origination covers onboarding, card applications, verification, and approval.

Responsibilities

• Own and drive end-to-end design of Origination flows (card applications, onboarding, verification)
• Collaborate with PMs, engineers, and data teams to craft seamless user journeys
• Simplify complex decision processes (eligibility, credit scoring, KYC) into intuitive interfaces
• Evolve Plata's design language for clarity, consistency, and scalability
• Conduct user research and usability testing to validate ideas and improve conversion and trust
• Monitor metrics and funnel performance to identify optimization opportunities

Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in product design, ideally in fintech, lending, or onboarding flows
• Strong portfolio showing end-to-end UX for high-stakes or high-friction products
• Experience designing for conversion, compliance, and data-driven systems
• Ability to balance business goals with great user experience
• System thinking, empathy, and precision
• B2 English level
