This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Presales Solutions Architect based in Canada.
Responsibilities
- Leading customer-facing discovery sessions, technical workshops, and architecture discussions with both engineering teams and executive stakeholders.
- Designing comprehensive solutions across cybersecurity, enterprise networking, cloud platforms, and managed services environments.
- Developing technical documentation, architecture diagrams, bills of materials, and statements of work to support client proposals and implementations.
- Partnering with sales teams as the primary technical advisor throughout discovery, solution design, proposal development, and deal closure.
- Creating business cases that demonstrate the value of managed services and recurring technology solutions.
- Building and maintaining knowledge of evolving cybersecurity, networking, and cloud technologies to recommend effective solutions.
- Supporting vendor relationships and leveraging partner ecosystems to strengthen solution offerings.
- Communicating complex technical concepts clearly to both technical audiences and senior business leaders.
Requirements
- 7+ years of overall IT experience, including at least 3 years in a presales solutions architect, consulting engineer, or senior systems engineering role.
- Demonstrated experience leading technical discovery, solution architecture, and presales engagements for complex enterprise environments.
- Strong knowledge of cybersecurity technologies, including next-generation firewalls, SASE, Zero Trust Network Access, and SIEM solutions.
- Solid understanding of enterprise networking concepts, including routing and switching, SD-WAN, and wireless technologies.
- Experience designing hybrid and multi-cloud architectures using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present effectively to technical teams and executive stakeholders.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment while collaborating with cross-functional teams.
- Legal authorization to work in Canada without requiring employer sponsorship.
- Preferred qualifications include: Professional certifications such as CCNP Security, CCIE, CISSP, Palo Alto certifications, AWS Solutions Architect Professional, or Azure expert-level certifications; Experience positioning managed security services such as SOC, MDR, managed SASE, or managed firewall solutions; Familiarity with compliance and security frameworks including NIST CSF, SOC 2, or PCI-DSS.

- Fully remote position available to candidates based in Canada.
- Competitive salary range of $135,000 – $145,000.
