Responsibilities
- Own and execute the consumer growth strategy across acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, referral, advocacy, and revenue.
- Translate business objectives into measurable marketing strategies, priorities, budgets, experiments, and performance targets.
- Build and scale customer acquisition channels, testing audiences, offers, messaging, creative, landing pages, pricing, and campaign strategies.
- Analyze funnel performance and key metrics including CAC, LTV, conversion, activation, churn, retention, payback, and customer behavior to guide investment decisions.
- Develop a deep understanding of homeschool families through customer research, behavioral analysis, market insights, and direct customer engagement.
- Shape positioning, messaging, offers, customer journeys, and go-to-market strategies around the needs and motivations of homeschool families.
- Build lifecycle programs spanning nurture, onboarding, activation, engagement, retention, win-back, referral, and advocacy.
- Partner with Product to translate new capabilities into compelling customer value while bringing customer insights into product strategy and roadmap discussions.
- Collaborate with shared creative, content, digital, lifecycle, web, and production resources by providing clear briefs, strategic direction, and priorities.
- Partner with educational funding stakeholders to identify opportunities and develop scalable customer-acquisition strategies around available funding programs.
- Continuously experiment across channels, audiences, creative, messaging, offers, and customer experiences, using results to refine the growth model.
- Leverage AI extensively for research, analysis, personalization, content creation, experimentation, automation, and decision-making.
- Establish processes, systems, and operating rhythms that make consumer growth increasingly predictable, measurable, and repeatable.
- Direct shared resources and make informed marketing investment decisions without relying on a large direct-report organization.
- Provide strategic leadership and cross-functional alignment across Marketing, Product, Customer Experience, and other business functions.
Requirements
- 7+ years of progressive experience in B2C marketing, growth marketing, or a related discipline, with meaningful ownership of acquisition, revenue, or measurable growth outcomes.
- Demonstrated experience building or scaling a consumer acquisition engine, preferably within a recurring-revenue model such as subscription, SaaS, membership, DTC, or marketplace businesses.
- Strong understanding of the complete consumer growth funnel, including acquisition, conversion, activation, retention, churn, referral, and advocacy.
- Broad expertise across performance marketing, lifecycle/CRM, brand, content, web, CRO, customer research, analytics, and experimentation.
- Strong knowledge of performance marketing and customer-acquisition funnels, with the ability to diagnose performance, identify opportunities, and challenge existing strategies.
- Experience managing meaningful marketing budgets and making investment decisions based on data, performance, and expected return.
- Strong understanding of CAC, LTV, conversion, activation, retention, churn, and payback metrics, with the ability to turn analysis into actionable decisions.
- Experience developing positioning, messaging, offers, campaigns, and go-to-market strategies for consumer audiences.
- Proven ability to partner closely with Product and use customer insights and behavioral data to influence product and business decisions.
- Strong commercial judgment and analytical skills, with the ability to connect customer behavior and marketing performance to business outcomes.
- Excellent cross-functional leadership skills and the ability to create alignment and influence outcomes without relying solely on direct reporting authority.
- Experience working in early-stage, high-growth, or ambiguous environments where processes and playbooks are still being developed.
- Demonstrated ability to operate as a full-stack B2C marketer while maintaining a strategic perspective and knowing when to delegate execution.
- Strong curiosity, initiative, resilience, and comfort with experimentation, failure, learning, and rapid course correction.
- AI-native approach to work, with demonstrated use of AI tools to research, analyze, create, personalize, automate, experiment, and improve decision-making.
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience and demonstrated results may be considered.
