Responsibilities
Own the target-state architecture for Smartsheet's AI platform (Data, Agents, Knowledge Graph, Context Graph)
Set architecture for agent harness and sub-agent framework: orchestration, lifecycle, hand-off contracts, Evals (Offline and Online), capability-tier classification
Design schema/ontology, ingestion and freshness pipelines, retrieval and grounding patterns
Build and maintain a reference agent framework for teams to fork or extend
Author a shared skills and tools library with interface contracts and versioning
Build fast prototypes to de-risk architecture decisions
Define deployment, security, and governance patterns
Serve as primary technical lead for strategic partners: Databricks, AWS, Anthropic
Partner with Principal Engineers and team leads across Smartsheet
Requirements
Deep hands-on experience architecting production agentic systems on Databricks Platform, AWS Bedrock/AgentCore and MCPs
Experience in agent harness/orchestration design, sub-agent boundaries, tracing and observability (e.g., MLflow), Evals, Governance, Responsible AI
Strong background in Knowledge and Context graph systems: ontology design, ingestion pipelines, retrieval/grounding evaluation
