Flo is a health and fitness app building digital health products that are AI-powered, privacy-first and clinically backed. The Velocity team works to eliminate friction for internal developers.
Responsibilities
- Build intuitive self-service tooling so developers can focus on product logic.
- Embed best practices, security, observability and scalability into the core stack.
- Build self-service tools that give product teams autonomy without sacrificing system stability.
- Architect and evolve the core stack using AWS, EKS and Terraform.
- Lead reliability initiatives, including business continuity planning and a sustainable on-call rotation.
- Support infrastructure for privacy features, including Anonymous Mode.
- Implement monitoring for metrics, logs and tracing so issues are identified and mitigated before impacting users.
Requirements
- 15+ years in AWS Infrastructure, DevEx, SRE or DevOps roles supporting high-traffic, distributed environments.
- Deep expertise in AWS and Kubernetes (K8s).
- Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (Terraform); experience with Python, Scala or Go would be beneficial.
- Comfort working across the stack, from developing front ends using React to engineering Terraform modules for infrastructure abstractions.
- A doc-first mentality and ability to collaborate across distributed product teams.
- Experience with the impact of AI automation on development teams and the software delivery lifecycle, and strong ideas on how to support teams through it.
- Bonus: experience hardening infrastructure in high-compliance or security-sensitive environments; experience scaling consumer technology platforms with millions of concurrent users; professional accreditation such as AWS Professional Architect, CKAD or KCSA.
